2002 MRFA Reunion-San Diego

To start with, it was kind of disappointing that so few showed up, however it turned out to be a very good reunion for those who attended. Anytime you can join other brothers and talk about old times and events that happened 34 or 35 years ago, it is always great.

We had  11 3/39th veterans along with some of their wives. Some came from as far away as Rhode Inland. We had people from the following states: Rhode Island, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, Missouri, Mississippi, Minnesota, and California.

I want to thank the wives that put up with all of us war dogs. You have to understand, that we like to talk to those that have gone through the same experiences that we went through. Some of us are still troubled about what happened to us while we were over there. Some of us have never talked about it for all these years.  That's where a reunion of old comrades like this comes in.  Again I say thanks to all the wives. God Bless.
